This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina, +3 more states.
• Design, implement, and oversee secure, reliable, and scalable cloud infrastructure.
• Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines that facilitate frequent, repeatable, and low-risk deployments.
• Automate the processes of infrastructure provisioning, configuration, deployment, and environment management.
• Maintain infrastructure as code utilizing tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi, or equivalent technologies.
• Enhance consistency across development, testing, staging, and production environments.
• Construct and sustain containerized application environments and orchestration capabilities.
• Execute and refine monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting, dashboards, and production health reporting.
• Collaborate with engineers to define SLIs, SLOs, and actionable operational metrics.
• Enhance the resiliency, scalability, availability, and disaster recovery preparedness of applications and infrastructure.
• Manage secrets, certificates, identity, permissions, network controls, and configurations related to cloud security.
• Aid in vulnerability management, dependency security, patching, and hardening of infrastructure.
• Optimize deployment strategies including automated rollback, blue-green deployment, and canary releases.
• Diagnose and resolve production incidents related to infrastructure, networking, application deployment, performance, capacity, or cloud services.
• Engage in incident response, conduct post-incident reviews, perform root-cause analysis, and develop corrective-action plans.
• Minimize cloud waste and enhance visibility of infrastructure costs.
• Create self-service tools and reusable deployment patterns for application engineering teams.
• Document infrastructure architecture, operational procedures, recovery processes, and troubleshooting guidance.
• Participate in production support and an appropriate on-call rotation.
• Leverage AI-assisted engineering tools to expedite scripting, troubleshooting, documentation, and infrastructure analysis.
• Approximately 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Strong experience managing production workloads in AWS.
• Significant hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi).
• Experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, CircleCI, AWS CodePipeline).
• In-depth knowledge of Docker and containerized application delivery.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Amazon ECS, or any other container orchestration platform.
• Solid understanding of cloud networking (VPCs, subnets, routing, load balancers, DNS, firewalls, gateways, private connectivity).
• Experience with cloud IAM, role-based access, least-privilege design, and secrets management.
• Proficient in implementing logging, metrics, dashboards, alerts, and distributed tracing.
• Familiarity with observability platforms (Datadog, New Relic, Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry).
• Strong Linux and command-line proficiency.
• Scripting experience in Python, Bash, JavaScript, or a comparable language.
• Understanding of application deployment patterns for modern web applications, APIs, background workers, and event-driven systems.
• Experience supporting relational databases, including backups, restore processes, and high availability.
• Knowledge of incident management practices, root-cause analysis, capacity planning, and production-readiness reviews.
• Working knowledge of cloud security, vulnerability remediation, encryption, certificates, key management, and compliance-oriented controls.
