Senior DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Play a significant role in the ongoing modernization project of LAMP, transitioning from PHP 5.6 to 8, MariaDB to Galera Cluster, and upgrading from Virtual Machines to Kubernetes environments utilizing Helm charts.

• Design, implement, and oversee high-performance, scalable, secure, and dependable cloud infrastructure for hosting SaaS products.

• Create and sustain processes for provisioning, configuring, and managing cloud resources using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible, along with scripting languages including Bash, PowerShell, and Python.

• Work collaboratively across teams with Engineering and IT staff to enhance application deployment and performance, incorporating IaC methodologies into the CI/CD pipeline through GitHub Actions.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation for technical procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting processes for networks, systems, and devices.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 5 years of experience in systems engineering or DevOps within a SaaS or technology-driven organization.

• Strong expertise in cloud technologies: GCP, AWS, or Azure (preferred).

• Familiarity with automation and Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef).

• Proficiency in virtualization and containerization technologies (e.g., VMware, Docker Desktop, Kubernetes).

• Demonstrated experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting both Windows and UNIX/Linux based systems.

• Experience in managing various application technology stacks (e.g., IIS, NGINX, .NET, PHP, SQL, MySQL).

• Understanding of networking concepts (OSI network layers, TCP/IP, VPN).

• Knowledge of security scanning tools (e.g., Snyk, Tenable, Qualys).
