Senior DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain testnets along with test automation for various components of the Monad blockchain.

• Create prototypes for new deployment strategies across validator and full-node configurations.

• Design and execute performance benchmarks and load tests to identify bottlenecks prior to production deployment.

• Enhance observability, alerting, and security throughout the entire stack.

• Establish best practices for node operators and provide them with support.

• Create tools for both internal and external usage.

• Engage in on-call rotations for production support.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of DevOps experience with a professional RPC provider, validator company, or L1 blockchain.

• At least 3 years of experience in Infrastructure as Code and Configuration Management, specifically with tools like Terraform and Ansible.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience utilizing container technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.

• Expertise in managing bare metal servers and scripting.

• Proficient in at least one back-end programming language, such as Python or Go.

• Practical experience in running highly available containerized systems on Kubernetes, which includes packaging (Helm) and GitOps-style deployment (FluxCD, ArgoCD, or GitHub Actions).

• Extensive experience with a major cloud service provider, preferably AWS.

• Comfortable with network setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting at the systems level.

• Experience in operating open-source observability stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, or similar tools.

• Proficient in using command-line git.

• Capable of managing competing priorities and responding swiftly during incidents.

• Fluent in written and spoken English.
