This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Design, develop, and sustain deployment pipelines, platform tools, automation scripts, infrastructure-as-code methodologies, and operational runbooks that enhance consistency and minimize manual efforts.
• Manage, fortify, and continuously enhance OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, and container-based environments throughout development, testing, staging, and production workflows.
• Provide support for AWS infrastructure and managed services, including IAM, VPC, EC2, RDS, S3, Route 53, CloudWatch, load balancing, security groups, and KMS.
• Construct and refine CI/CD and GitOps delivery pipelines utilizing GitLab CI/CD, Tekton, OpenShift GitOps, ArgoCD, and similar automation frameworks.
• Automate procedures for building, testing, dependency analysis, image scanning, packaging, deployment, rollback, verification, and release governance.
• Enhance observability, reliability, and resilience through logging, monitoring, tracing, dashboards, alerting, SLIs/SLOs, telemetry, incident analysis, backup/restore validation, and disaster recovery preparedness.
• Incorporate DevSecOps practices into pipelines, environments, access controls, vulnerability remediation, secrets management, certificate handling, and operational workflows.
• Collaborate with Security & Compliance to uphold HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC 2, OWASP, NIST, auditability, policy enforcement, software supply chain security, and risk mitigation standards.
• Assist with application and data platform operations utilizing technologies such as Java/Groovy Spring Boot, .NET Core/C#, Svelte/SvelteKit, React, TypeScript, MarkLogic, PostgreSQL, Redis, Apache Kafka, Amazon RDS, and related technologies.
• Lead systematic troubleshooting across application, infrastructure, CI/CD, container, runtime, identity, network, DNS, TLS, database, messaging, and data-service layers.
• Guide DevOps engineers, software developers, and project contributors on operational readiness, automation methodologies, troubleshooting techniques, secure delivery, and platform standards.
• Typically 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, platform engineering, systems engineering, cloud infrastructure, or similar technical roles.
• Proven experience functioning as a senior hands-on engineer with responsibility for complex platform, automation, reliability, security, or operational initiatives in production settings.
• Extensive experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS infrastructure, cloud-native operating frameworks, and containerized environments.
• Significant experience with GitLab CI/CD, Tekton, OpenShift GitOps, ArgoCD, or similar CI/CD, GitOps, and release automation tools.
• Strong background in monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting, incident response, backup/restore validation, disaster recovery planning, and system reliability methodologies.
• In-depth experience with secure configurations, secrets management, access control, vulnerability management, policy enforcement, and DevSecOps practices.
