Senior DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Ensure the maintenance and optimization of essential server infrastructure, which encompasses bare-metal servers, LXC containers, virtual machines, and cloud environments.

• Operate and provide support for key infrastructure services such as Nginx, Puppet, GitLab, Artifactory, Nexus, Harbor, Grafana, among others.

• Manage and advance infrastructure in alignment with the Infrastructure as Code (IaC) approach.

• Address and resolve incidents related to infrastructure operations efficiently.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including network engineers, developers, and various technical stakeholders.

• Design and execute high-availability, fault-tolerant, and scalable software solutions.

• Monitor service performance and availability through modern observability tools, ensuring system reliability and effective resource utilization.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in Linux administration, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).

• Strong expertise in automating tasks using Bash or similar scripting languages.

• Comprehensive understanding of networking fundamentals, including the TCP/IP stack, routing, and DNS.

• Practical experience managing bare-metal infrastructure within production environments.

• Familiarity with configuration management systems such as Ansible or Puppet.

• Experience with distributed databases like Elasticsearch, Cassandra, MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.

• Proficiency in Kubernetes administration and managing containerized workloads.

• Experience utilizing IaC tools such as FluxCD or ArgoCD.

• Ability to design and implement high-performance, fault-tolerant, and secure infrastructure solutions.

• Experience with monitoring and observability systems — including Zabbix, VictoriaMetrics, Loki, and Grafana — which involves building dashboards and configuring alerts.
