Senior DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Proven experience in implementing and managing HashiCorp Vault for the management of secrets and credentials.

• Familiarity with the Container Storage Interface (CSI) for persistent storage solutions in Kubernetes environments.

• Skilled in Git, Docker, Ansible, and shell scripting; experience with Python is a plus.

• Understanding of SQL and integration with databases.

• Experience utilizing Jira and Confluence to facilitate development and deployment workflows.

• Demonstrated capability in operating within large-scale, intricate enterprise settings, with a strong grasp of end-to-end architecture and delivery processes.

• Design, develop, and manage CI/CD workflows utilizing Jenkins and GitHub Actions, automating build, test, and release processes to minimize manual work and enhance delivery speed.

• Take full responsibility for the CI/CD and release management processes from start to finish, ensuring reliability, scalability, and ongoing improvement.

• Administer and scale Kubernetes clusters at an advanced level, employing Helm for application packaging, templating, and deployment.

• Execute and manage secrets and credentials through HashiCorp Vault, and configure CSI drivers for persistent storage in containerized environments.

• Improve existing automation using Ansible and shell scripting, aligning infrastructure-as-code practices with changing business requirements.

• Work collaboratively with global teams to evaluate and enhance current CI/CD and release workflows, ensuring smooth integration across development and operations.

• Oversee the broader DevOps toolchain — including Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Jira, and Confluence — to support development and deployment efforts.

• Monitor pipelines and platform health, proactively resolving issues and driving root-cause analysis.

• Act as a self-starter, comfortable with addressing unknown challenges and leading initiatives to advance DevOps and platform engineering practices.

• Share knowledge and mentor team members to cultivate a culture of continuous improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

• Over 10 years of overall IT experience, including more than 7 years in hands-on DevOps roles.

• Proven hands-on senior-level expertise in DevOps, CI/CD, and release management for enterprise-scale applications.

• Strong proficiency in CI/CD tools, particularly Jenkins and GitHub Actions.

• Advanced, production-grade experience with Kubernetes, including cluster management, workload handling, and troubleshooting at scale.

• Practical experience with Helm for application packaging and deployment.

• Strong sense of ownership — accountable for outcomes throughout the CI/CD and delivery lifecycle.

• Proactive in recognizing risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement before they affect delivery.

• Clear and effective communicator, capable of collaborating across regional and functional teams.

• Sound judgment in escalation management — knows the appropriate times and methods to raise blockers to relevant stakeholders.

• Comfortable working in large-scale, complex environments with extensive end-to-end architecture and delivery exposure.
