This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate projects into AWS and AWS GovCloud production environments while ensuring ongoing support.
• Design, construct, and manage CI/CD pipelines utilizing Bitbucket Pipelines, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar tools.
• Assist in packaging Helm charts and deploying with ArgoCD/GitOps into Kubernetes.
• Operate and secure infrastructure within FedRAMP High, GovRAMP Moderate, and IL5 authorization boundaries.
• Ensure continuous compliance across all releases.
• Take ownership of environment segmentation, secrets management, and access controls in alignment with NIST 800-53 and FedRAMP control families.
• Oversee Kubernetes workloads, manage Helm chart versioning, and facilitate release promotion across development, staging, commercial, and GovCloud production environments.
• Develop reliable, scalable infrastructure services in AWS and support both cloud and on-premise deployments.
• Implement infrastructure as code utilizing Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK.
• Support database deployment and schema migration using Postgres, Flyway, or equivalent tools.
• Establish monitoring, logging, alerting, and operational automation.
• Collaborate with Security/GRC to prepare and maintain documentation for FedRAMP/GovRAMP continuous monitoring, POA&Ms, annual assessments, and audit cycles.
• Engage in incident response and root-cause analysis for environments hosted on GovCloud.
• Diagnose application, deployment, and operational issues.
• Create engineering automation and productivity tools.
• Work alongside Product, Engineering, Solution Architecture, and Security/GRC to align both commercial and government environments with the product roadmap.
• Embed security, reliability, scalability, and best practices into the development lifecycle.
• US Citizenship is a prerequisite for this position in compliance with 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(2)(C).
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps/Platform/Site Reliability Engineering.
• At least 2 years of experience operating workloads in AWS GovCloud.
• Practical experience in deploying and maintaining infrastructure under FedRAMP High or Moderate, GovRAMP/StateRAMP, or DoD IL5 authorization frameworks.
• Must be capable of obtaining and sustaining a security clearance; must be active or eligible for a federal security clearance.
• Proficient knowledge of NIST 800-53 controls.
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and GitOps (ArgoCD or equivalent).
• Practical experience with AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, or similar cloud services.
• Experience in CI/CD pipeline engineering using Bitbucket Pipelines, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI, or similar.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK.
• Experience with configuration-management and automation tools like Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Rundeck, or similar.
• Knowledge of queuing systems such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, SQS, or equivalent.
• Experience with relational database deployment and migration tools such as Postgres and Flyway, or similar.
• Experience in supporting continuous monitoring, POA&M remediation, assessments, and audit cycles.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts such as subnets and environment segmentation.
• Experience with containers and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
• Ability to create infrastructure services for both cloud and on-premise deployments.
• Familiarity with Linux, EC2 security, AWS CLI, S3, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, SSH, Docker, Git, Jenkins, CircleCI, Nagios, JMeter, and BlazeMeter.
• Experience in startup environments and working in lean, collaborative engineering teams.
• Knowledge of MongoDB, Python/Django, data structures, and algorithms is a plus.
• Preferred: prior experience at a cybersecurity or SaaS vendor maintaining a FedRAMP-authorized environment through initial ATO and ongoing ConMon.
• Preferred: AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer Professional.
• Preferred: experience with container security scanning and software supply-chain security, including SBOM and image signing, in a government context.
• Preferred: familiarity with SOAR/TIP or broader cybersecurity product environments.
