Senior DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and enhance AWS infrastructure for production applications.

• Take ownership of Kubernetes/EKS environments, including deployments, upgrades, and troubleshooting operational issues.

• Create and sustain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.

• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines.

• Oversee GitOps deployments, preferably with ArgoCD.

• Provide support for production infrastructure, incident response, and operational enhancements.

• Enhance cloud reliability, security, and cost efficiency.

• Collaborate closely with engineering teams while independently managing infrastructure decisions.

• Design, manage, and troubleshoot CDN environments.

• Engage in architecture discussions concerning potential migration from Akamai to Cloudflare.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven senior-level, highly hands-on DevOps experience.

• Capability to work autonomously and make infrastructure decisions with minimal supervision.

• Extensive experience with AWS.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes/EKS environments, including deployments, upgrades, and troubleshooting.

• Proficient in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code methodologies.

• Experienced in developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

• Knowledge of GitOps deployments, with a preference for ArgoCD.

• Experience in supporting production infrastructure and responding to incidents.

• Hands-on familiarity with Akamai, Cloudflare, or CloudFront is highly desirable.

• Experience with enterprise CDN platforms, edge security, caching, WAF, TLS, and traffic management is a significant advantage.

• Comfortable designing, managing, and troubleshooting CDN environments.

• Able to participate in architecture discussions regarding CDN migration strategies.

• Ideally available for full-time work, 40 hours per week; exceptional candidates may begin part-time.
