Senior DevOps Engineer – Akamai, CloudFlare

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Design, manage, and enhance AWS infrastructure that supports production applications.

• Take ownership of Kubernetes/EKS environments, including deployments, upgrades, and operational troubleshooting.

• Create and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.

• Develop and sustain CI/CD pipelines.

• Oversee GitOps deployments.

• Provide support for production infrastructure, incident response, and operational enhancements.

• Improve cloud reliability, security, and cost efficiency.

• Collaborate closely with engineering teams while independently managing infrastructure decisions.

• Design, manage, and troubleshoot CDN environments.

• Engage in architecture discussions regarding potential migration from Akamai to Cloudflare.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience with AWS infrastructure.

• Proven ability to manage Kubernetes/EKS environments, including deployments, upgrades, and troubleshooting.

• Experience in building and maintaining Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.

• Competence in developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

• Familiarity with GitOps deployments; ArgoCD experience is preferred.

• Experience in supporting production infrastructure and managing incident responses.

• Background in optimizing cloud reliability, security, and cost.

• Capacity to work independently and make infrastructure decisions with minimal oversight.

• Hands-on experience with Akamai, Cloudflare, or CloudFront is highly regarded.

• Experience with enterprise CDN platforms, edge security, caching, WAF, TLS, and traffic management is a significant advantage.

• Ability to design, operate, and troubleshoot CDN environments.

• Capability to engage in architecture discussions regarding migration strategies.
