This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Oversee the Individual, Corporate, and Foundation Giving portfolios.
• Manage relationships and communications with donors.
• Implement two annual digital fundraising campaigns.
• Coordinate marketing initiatives for planned giving.
• Ensure that all contractual commitments with corporate sponsors are fulfilled.
• Organize and execute events for donor stewardship and recognition strategies.
• Supervise and provide mentorship to the Development Coordinator.
• A Bachelor’s degree or higher is preferred in education, educational technology, business, marketing, communications, or a related field.
• A combination of relevant education and experience may be taken into account.
• Familiarity with the 2SLGBTQI community and overall human rights issues pertaining to 2SLGBTQI individuals.
• 4-5 years of experience in fundraising, particularly in individual giving, donor relations, philanthropy, sponsorship, planned giving, and/or events, with a proven track record in relationship management, reporting, stewardship, and client relations.
• Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software is advantageous.
• Experience in a non-profit, 2SLGBTQI community, and/or social justice setting is preferred.
• Strong strategic, creative, writing, and editing skills for effective reporting.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and technical abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, working effectively under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
• Capacity to prioritize, self-direct, and work with minimal oversight.
• Exceptional attention to detail and quality, complemented by outstanding organizational skills.
• Willingness to work flexibly, including alternative hours and adapting to changing priorities.
• A collaborative team member with a service-oriented mindset and the ability to inspire others.
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills, capable of engaging effectively with Board Members, the Executive Director, consultants, and donors/prospects.
• Personal lived experience as a member of the 2SLGBTQI community is an asset.
• Proven skills in project planning and management.
• Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, and conflict resolution abilities.
• Creative problem-solving skills combined with sound judgment.
• Exceptional oral, written, analytical, and technical skills.
• Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Ability to swiftly adapt based on feedback across multiple channels.
• Must possess the capability to manage a project from inception to completion effectively.
• Experience in a senior development position is required.
• Understanding of intersectionality and a commitment to working within an anti-oppression/anti-racism framework.
• Proficient in various computer applications (e.g., MS Office Suite, Google applications).
• A valid driver’s license is considered an asset.
• Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
