This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.
• Coordinate technical requirements and evaluate feasibility.
• Oversee internal interfaces and manage intricate development projects until they reach series production.
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Production, Procurement, and Customers.
• Ensure that technical needs are transformed into market-ready products.
• Act as the primary technical contact for demanding clients in high-tech future industries.
• Assess new and complex customer inquiries for technical feasibility and economic viability.
• Provide technical assistance from the design and conceptual phase through to series readiness.
• Develop optimal manufacturing strategies that are both technically and economically sound, including make-or-buy decisions.
• Manage technical alignment across Sales, Production, Procurement, Quality, Research, and Development.
• Assume ultimate technical responsibility for complex products and assemblies.
• Coordinate both internal and external technical interfaces to ensure informed decision-making.
• A degree or completed vocational training in Mechanical Engineering (e.g., HTL, FH, or TU).
• Several years of professional experience in design engineering, product development, or special-purpose machine/plant engineering.
• Practical experience in design, manufacturing, or joining technology, with a strong understanding of tolerances and technical feasibility.
• Experience in project management or technical leadership of interdisciplinary teams.
• Excellent CAD skills and familiarity with PDM, PLM, or ERP systems.
• A structured, analytical, and solution-oriented approach with strong logical reasoning abilities.
• A high level of personal responsibility, a hands-on mentality, and a confident presence as a technical interface.
• Proficiency in German and English at a business-fluent/negotiation level.
