Senior Development Editor, High School

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +6 more states.

📋 Description

• Project Management: organize, schedule, and coordinate all components of each assigned project, which includes content delivery, editing, market research and testing, permissions, photo research, and handover to print and media production.

• Editorial Work: Assess and refine content while guiding authors and others to meet project goals according to our standards; recruit and manage contractors as necessary.

• Customer Focus: Conduct market and competitive research to ensure that each project is crafted with a customer-centric approach and strong student engagement, aligning with the vision and quality of the brand.

• Schedules: Develop and execute content development timelines to achieve target publication and launch dates.

• Efficiency and Costs: Remain mindful of budget constraints and strive for more efficient and cost-effective processes.

• Travel: Occasionally travel to conferences, meet with authors and customers, or gather market insights.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree

• At least 4-5 years of editorial experience or in a related field

• A flexible mindset, growth-oriented attitude, and enthusiasm for embracing change, including the use of new technology systems, AI, and innovative processes.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy, quality, and timely delivery.

• A genuine commitment to creating inclusive content that engages and represents all learners.

• Demonstrated innovative and strategic thinking capabilities.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently, prioritize effectively, stay organized, communicate progress, and meet deadlines.

• Familiarity with Google Suite and AI interfaces; a willingness to continuously learn new tools.
