Senior Developer – Zuora Billing, Revenue

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain tailored solutions within the Zuora platform, leveraging Zuora Workflow, Custom Objects, and Custom Fields to automate intricate billing scenarios.

• Create and oversee scripts or external applications that interact with the Zuora REST/SOAP APIs to enhance platform capabilities beyond standard features.

• Construct and refine advanced SQL queries (Data Query) and reports to deliver comprehensive insights into billing performance and revenue indicators.

• Direct the technical aspects of "New Product Introduction" (NPI), ensuring the product catalog is designed for both billing adaptability and accurate downstream reporting.

• Act as the lead technical administrator for Zuora Billing and Zuora Revenue, managing environment refreshes, tenant configurations, and security settings.

• Develop the technical framework for complex subscription models, including usage-based pricing, ramp deals, and multi-entity global implementations.

• Oversee system performance and API limitations, proactively detecting and addressing bottlenecks or potential failure points.

• Manage the deployment lifecycle for Zuora configurations, ensuring thorough testing in Sandbox environments prior to production launches.

• Lead the Technical Integration: Maintain and enhance data flow between Salesforce (CPQ) and Zuora, ensuring accurate synchronization of quotes, subscriptions, and amendments.

• Optimize Downstream Sync: Collaborate with the NetSuite team to manage the technical mapping of invoices, payments, and revenue schedules into the ERP via the Zuora NetSuite Connector or middleware.

• Resolve complex integration issues (e.g., synchronization failures, callout timeouts) by analyzing logs and conducting root-cause analysis across the technology stack.

• Convert business requirements from Finance and Sales Ops into technical design documents and scalable code.

• Provide technical assistance for billing discrepancies and system bugs.

• Work in conjunction with the broader IT and Engineering teams to ensure Zuora aligns with Coupa's enterprise data architecture and security protocols.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of practical experience as a Zuora Administrator or Developer, with extensive knowledge in Zuora Billing.

• More than 2 years of technical experience with Zuora Revenue (RevPro), including the configuration of revenue rules and templates.

• Proficient in Zuora APIs: Proven experience in building integrations or automations using REST/SOAP APIs and Zuora Object Query Language (ZOQL).

• Skilled with Zuora Connectors to Salesforce and NetSuite.

• Development Skills: Strong SQL expertise and experience with at least one programming/scripting language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, or Java) for automation purposes.

• Advanced Configuration Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Zuora Workflow, Data Query, and the Zuora-Salesforce 360 synchronization.

• Q2C Experience: Profound technical knowledge of the Quote-to-Cash lifecycle, particularly how data transitions from Salesforce CPQ into Zuora and NetSuite.

• Zuora Certified Administrator or Zuora Certified Developer (preferred).

• Familiarity with Workato for orchestration (preferred).

• Knowledge of Apex (Salesforce) or SuiteScript (NetSuite) (preferred).
