Senior Developer Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Execute improvements in the software delivery lifecycle to minimize obstacles for product engineering teams.

• Develop and sustain standardized CI/CD pipelines along with developer workflows based on established architecture.

• Facilitate the adoption of ephemeral environments and optimize local development tools.

• Propel automation across build, test, and deployment processes.

• Establish and uphold automated testing frameworks and infrastructure that align with shift-left quality objectives.

• Empower teams to incorporate component and end-to-end testing into their processes.

• Integrate AI-driven tools and workflows into the developer experience as outlined by the platform strategy.

• Construct and enhance essential components of the developer platform, emphasizing stability and usability.

• Assist in identifying and resolving bottlenecks in developer workflows and enhancing platform performance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in increasingly complex software engineering roles.

• Demonstrated experience in implementing platform, infrastructure, or developer tooling solutions.

• Proficient in the end-to-end delivery of internal engineering systems, from discovery and technical approach definition to deployment and iteration.

• Skilled in scoping and delegating tasks to team members.

• Experience with microservices deployment on Kubernetes (AWS, GCP, Azure).

• Proficient in building and maintaining effective CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins).

• Familiarity with GitOps, ArgoCD, and local development and build tools (such as Gradle/Bazel).

• Experience in supporting developer experience (DevEx) tooling.

• Strong background in scripting and automation, particularly for release and build management.
