Senior Developer, Apigee

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Develop scalable API solutions utilizing the Google Cloud Apigee platform.

• Create robust middleware integration patterns using Java and Spring Boot.

• Implement API security measures, manage traffic, enforce rate limiting, and establish caching policies.

• Convert intricate business needs into straightforward, actionable technical specifications.

• Ensure high code quality through thorough code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD methodologies.

• Guide developers, eliminate technical obstacles, and guarantee effective task distribution.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

• 6 to 9 years of experience in software engineering, including a minimum of 2+ years in a Technical Lead position.

• Demonstrated success in delivering enterprise integration projects with significant traffic.

• Advanced skills in configuring and managing the Apigee API Gateway (Edge or X).

• Comprehensive knowledge of Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) principles and middleware patterns.

• Expertise in RESTful APIs, SOAP, JSON, and security protocols (OAuth2, OIDC, TLS).

• Production-level development experience with Java (8/11/17+).

• Proficient in the Spring Boot ecosystem (Spring Cloud, Spring Security, Spring Data).

• Strong foundation in database technologies (both SQL and NoSQL).

• Experience in containerizing applications using Docker and Kubernetes.

• Proven history of building CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions).
