Senior Developer Advocate – Modern App Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Assist developers in refining their skills in an AI-enhanced environment by examining how AI coding assistants and rapid-prototyping tools transform software workflows, while guiding teams to balance quick prototyping with established engineering practices related to performance, code quality, and system reliability.

• Foster transparency by generating genuine, peer-to-peer technical content, sharing your engineering insights directly within the spaces where modern developers collaborate both in-person and online.

• Facilitate a constructive, two-way feedback loop between dynamic developer communities and our internal teams, converting real-world developer experiences into actionable product insights that influence our roadmap while advocating for user needs internally.

• Create and deliver high-quality open-source boilerplate templates, quickstarts, and tools that enable seamless integration of observability across AI-native workflows, next-generation platforms (such as Vercel, Supabase, etc.), and cloud providers (including AWS, GCP, Azure).

⛳️ Requirements

• A builder with roughly 10+ years of experience in software engineering, ideally having developed applications from the ground up or having worked in an early-stage startup setting where you've taken on various roles.

• An AI-savvy developer who naturally incorporates AI coding assistants and rapid-prototyping tools as integral components of your everyday development workflow.

• Multi-stack proficient, comfortable writing and debugging code in various programming languages (such as JavaScript/TypeScript or Python) and experienced with deployment paradigms across next-gen platforms and traditional cloud environments.

• A genuine communicator with around 3+ years of experience in technical storytelling and community engagement, supported by a publicly accessible portfolio of peer-to-peer artifacts like GitHub repositories, technical blogs, video walkthroughs, or public speaking engagements.

• A proactive thinker who enjoys self-directed exploration of emerging technologies, with a strong passion for developer education, mentorship, and aiding fellow engineers in enhancing their skills.
