This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Oversee the architecture, design, and development of IMS and Wireless Voice Core systems (P/I/S-CSCF, SBC, TAS, ENUM, MRF/BGF)
• Architect and support voice services such as VoLTE, VoWiFi, emergency services, roaming, and interconnect
• Implement and sustain scalable, carrier-grade IMS systems that are optimized for both performance and cost
• Establish CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment processes
• Evaluate network performance and enhance architecture; troubleshoot complex technical challenges
• Generate Methods of Procedure (MoP) documentation for configuration and troubleshooting tasks
• Direct testing, validation, and capacity planning for all deployments
• Collaborate with RAN, Packet Core, Policy, Infrastructure, and Database teams to create integrated solutions
• Manage relationships with vendors and influence the direction of solution roadmaps
• Engage with Red Hat OpenStack, OpenShift, AWS, and containerized environments
• Create KPI dashboards and oversee performance metrics
• Actively participate in Agile teams and contribute to roadmap discussions
• Over 10 years of experience in 3G/4G/5G Voice Core (architecture, design, implementation, operations)
• In-depth knowledge of IMS architecture, interfaces (Gm, Cx, Dx, Sh, Rx, Rf, ISC, Mw), and call session control functions
• Proficient understanding of signaling protocols: SIP, Diameter, H248, SS7, CAMEL, RTP/RTCP, GTP, and 5G protocols
• Expertise in 3GPP specifications and RFC standards
• Practical experience with various IMS vendors (Ericsson, Nokia); platform debugging and configuration skills
• Solid comprehension of Service-Based Architecture (SBA), LTE/5G Core, and subscriber data management (HSS/UDM)
• Proficient in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, AWS) and orchestration
• Advanced troubleshooting capabilities using Netscout, Wireshark, and PCAP
• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking fundamentals (TCP/UDP/IP/SCTP/Diameter)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Agile methodologies)
• Familiarity with data analytics tools (Splunk, BigQuery, Looker)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Electrical Engineering, or a related STEM field
