This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Utilize internal and external tools to identify and assess fraudulent activities across various channels, ensuring prompt and effective action on significant findings.
• Examine existing datasets to uncover trends and patterns, detect irregularities, and develop rule strategies to reduce future fraud losses.
• Convert data into actionable insights for decision-makers to lessen the impact on cardholders and portfolios through alerts developed by MAP or Visa DPS fraud tools.
• Uphold MAP Defense data standards and provide recommendations for current and future requirements.
• Create and present high-quality actionable Defense Intelligence products derived from all available data sources.
• Illustrate an understanding of how analytics solutions and data influence MAP business operations and formulate strategies accordingly.
• Conduct client-specific analysis on portfolio data, including proprietary details such as customer demographics, activity, spending levels, behavioral scores, and financial information.
• Leverage Visa Data Manager’s data, analytical capabilities, and industry knowledge to design and implement fraud rules for MAP clients.
• Offer on-call rural consultation support for MAP clients.
• Conduct monthly fraud performance reviews for MAP clients.
• Continuously enhance processes for assessing our clients’ fraud and dispute experiences.
• A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, cybersecurity, or a related field is preferred.
• Ability to work autonomously, resolve issues, and effectively communicate with clients, vendors, and team members.
• Intermediate proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is required.
• Familiarity with Power BI Pro dashboards and User Acceptance Testing.
• Strong understanding of the financial services industry, ideally in credit unions and the payments sector.
• Knowledge of Visa DPS products and applications is a plus.
• Proven capability to translate business and customer inquiries into actionable hypotheses.
• Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written formats, with the ability to present using various audiovisual aids; capable of engaging both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Analytical professional with at least five (5) years of experience in the payments industry.
• Understanding of transactions, system processing, and overall transaction management.
• Self-motivated individual with a demonstrated ability to execute tasks with minimal supervision.
• Ability to maintain discretion, ensure confidentiality, and exercise sound judgment.
• Participate in a rotating weekend on-call schedule to provide fraud monitoring coverage, respond to alerts, and assist with time-sensitive fraud mitigation efforts as part of a collaborative coverage model.
• Working knowledge of data and its influence on analysis or risk insights.
