Senior DBA – SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Azure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Administration and maintenance of databases: Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL

• Management of the complete database lifecycle: installation, configuration, operation, maintenance, upgrade

• Design and oversight of hybrid architectures and in Microsoft Azure

• Lead and coordinate database migrations to Azure

• Monitoring and performance optimization: query tuning and index management

• Implementation of high availability solutions, backup, and disaster recovery

• Advanced technical support to business areas

• Definition of technical standards and best practices

• Automation of administrative tasks

• Coordination with architecture, infrastructure, development, and cybersecurity teams

• Resolution of critical incidents and coordination with suppliers

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a DBA / Systems Technician

• Education: Technical Engineering in Computer Science or similar

• Strong experience in Microsoft SQL Server (2016 / 2019 / 2022) and PostgreSQL (v13+)

• Experience in high availability environments

• Experience in hybrid environments (On-Prem + Cloud)

• Migrations to Microsoft Azure

• Advanced knowledge in T-SQL, query optimization, backup and recovery, data security

• Experience with Always On Availability Groups, Failover Cluster Instances (FCI), PostgreSQL replication

• Knowledge in Azure SQL / Azure PostgreSQL and Azure Monitor / Backup / Storage

• Experience in PowerShell / Bash

• Analytical skills and a focus on continuous improvement

• Intermediate English (technical documentation)
