Senior DBA – Oracle

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Engage in high-stakes production environments, providing support to both internal and external technology clients for ongoing assistance and new initiatives.

• Demonstrated expertise in the support and management of Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL databases.

• Strong sense of ownership and governance over environments, consistently aiming to maintain their health and performance.

• Proactive, hands-on professional with exceptional planning abilities for various activities.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with colleagues within the department and other teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience with both relational and non-relational databases (including Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB).

• Experience in administering critical, high-availability databases.

• Proficient in query analysis and optimization.

• Familiarity with AlwaysOn technology.

• Experience utilizing monitoring tools such as Zabbix and Grafana.

• Knowledge of Agile methodologies.

• Experience with ITSM tools.

• Skilled in initiating changes in production environments and managing the approval workflows.

• Proficient in creating support tickets with vendors, following up, and escalating issues when necessary.

• Expertise in monitoring databases to identify key metrics for availability and performance.

• Differential:

• Knowledge of Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL databases.

• Certifications in Oracle, MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS).

• Familiarity with Oracle Data Guard and SQL Server AlwaysOn.

• Knowledge of backup/restore processes via RMAN.

• Understanding of OEM (Oracle Enterprise Manager).
