This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee comprehensive database migration projects, covering discovery, assessment, planning, execution, validation, and post-migration stabilization.
• Create intricate migration strategies, roadmaps, schedules, dependencies, rollback procedures, and cutover plans.
• Evaluate source and target database environments to pinpoint compatibility issues, data dependencies, technical risks, and migration constraints.
• Choose suitable migration methodologies, such as rehosting, re-platforming, refactoring, replication, bulk migration, and phased migration.
• Manage structured migrations across on-premises, cloud, hybrid, relational, and non-relational database environments.
• Direct migration rehearsals, dry runs, production cutovers, and post-migration validation tasks.
• Reduce system downtime and data loss by employing replication, change data capture, synchronization, and high-availability migration techniques.
• Formulate contingency and rollback protocols to ensure business continuity throughout migration events.
• Examine legacy database structures, including schemas, tables, relationships, stored procedures, triggers, views, indexes, and data types.
• Convert source database structures into optimized target-state schemas.
• Conduct schema mapping and conversions across various database technologies and platforms.
• Address discrepancies in data types, naming conventions, constraints, indexing models, partitioning strategies, and database-specific functionalities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• A minimum of 7 years of relevant industry experience is necessary.
• Strong communication abilities and a collaborative mindset in a team setting are essential.
• Proven experience in performing security engineering tasks.
• Proficiency in developing and modifying scripts.
• Familiarity with mapping inheritance and Common Control Catalogs.
• Experience in developing or refining Risk Scoring.
