Senior Database Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Managing the design, execution, and upkeep of the organization's databases.

• Enhancing database performance, ensuring data integrity, and implementing security protocols.

• Working alongside cross-functional teams to facilitate business operations and data-informed decision-making.

• Crafting, developing, and deploying database solutions tailored to business needs and industry best practices.

• Monitoring the health of databases, evaluating performance metrics, and assessing resource utilization to proactively detect and address issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

• A Master's degree is preferred.

• A minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Database Engineer, Database Administrator, or in a similar capacity managing enterprise-level databases.

• Extensive expertise in database design, development, implementation, and administration utilizing relational database management systems (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).

• Proficient in SQL programming, stored procedures, triggers, and database scripting languages.

• Experience with tools for database performance monitoring, backup/recovery solutions, and data modeling.

• Familiarity with database security practices, including data encryption, access controls, and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).

• Strong analytical skills, problem-solving capabilities, and attention to detail.

• Effective communication abilities and a proven track record of collaboration with cross-functional teams.
