Senior Database Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Design and sustain comprehensive database systems that are in line with business goals and objectives.

• Enhance database performance, scalability, and security measures.

• Create, manage, and refine ETL workflows utilizing SSIS to facilitate data migration, integration, and transformation requirements.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to gather specifications and execute data pipelines.

• Craft and develop engaging and visually appealing reports and dashboards using SSRS and Power BI.

• Ensure reporting solutions are accurate and timely to support business intelligence efforts.

• Apply data validation, quality assurance, and governance best practices.

• Set and uphold standards for data integrity, security, and compliance.

• Offer technical guidance and mentorship to a team of database developers and analysts.

• Perform code reviews, share best practices, and promote a culture of continuous learning and enhancement.

• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

• Work in partnership with IT teams to align database strategies with organizational goals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

• Over 5 years of practical experience in database development and management.

• Proficiency in SSIS, SSRS, and Power BI.

• Solid experience with SQL Server, T-SQL, and stored procedure development.

• Demonstrated capability in data modeling, database design, and performance optimization.

• Experience in leveraging AI within daily processes.

• Expertise in developing ETL workflows, data warehousing concepts, and multidimensional/Tabular models.

• Advanced understanding of Power BI, including DAX and Power Query.

• Familiarity with Azure Data Services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL) is advantageous.

• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking abilities.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
