Senior Database Administrator (DBA) Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Manage both relational and non-relational databases.

• Oversee critical databases that require high availability.

• Analyze and optimize SQL queries.

• Monitor databases to detect availability and performance challenges.

• Initiate change requests in production settings and oversee the approval workflow.

• Create support tickets with vendors, ensuring follow-up and escalation as needed.

• Utilize monitoring tools such as Zabbix and Grafana, along with ITSM tools.

• Engage in work processes following Agile methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in relational and non-relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB).

• Experience in managing critical databases with high availability.

• Skill in analyzing and tuning SQL queries.

• Familiarity with Always On features.

• Proficient in using Zabbix and Grafana monitoring tools.

• Experience working within Agile methodologies.

• Knowledge of ITSM tools.

• Ability to initiate change requests in production settings and manage the approval process.

• Experience in creating vendor support tickets, with follow-ups and escalations as necessary.

• Expertise in monitoring databases to pinpoint items that require monitoring for availability and performance support.

• Preferred knowledge of Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL databases.

• Preferred certifications in Oracle, MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.

• Preferred experience with cloud environments, especially AWS.

• Preferred understanding of Oracle Data Guard and SQL Server Always On.

• Preferred knowledge of backup and restoration processes using RMAN.

• Preferred familiarity with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
