Senior Data Warehouse Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and develop scalable, high-performance data warehouse solutions.

• Create and maintain dependable, well-documented data pipelines and ELT processes.

• Ensure the quality and consistency of data.

• Optimize data warehouse performance through techniques such as partitioning, indexing, and query optimization.

• Collaborate with data analysts and scientists to convert raw data into analytics and machine learning models.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance the data warehouse infrastructure while balancing efficiency and cost.

• Promote best practices and advocate for clean, well-structured data.

• Work with cloud-based data warehouses like ClickHouse and integrate them with company services.

• Contribute to tools aimed at developers that facilitate data access and manipulation.

• Proficient communication skills in English to effectively engage with our global, remote team.

• Significant experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing data warehouses in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, etc.).

• Practical expertise with data modeling and transformation tools such as dbt.

• Strong SQL capabilities and familiarity with modern columnar storage data warehouses (e.g., ClickHouse, Databricks, BigQuery, or Snowflake).

• Experience with data pipeline orchestration tools like Prefect or Airflow.

• Familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g., Apache Superset, Sigma, Tableau, Looker) is advantageous.

• A solid understanding of software engineering best practices, including version control, code reviews, testing, and automation.

• Exposure to infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and a DevOps mindset is a plus.

• Additional experience in scripting/automation with Bash, Python, or Go is beneficial.
