Senior Data Visualization Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Engage directly with client stakeholders, whether business or technical, to comprehend their data visualization requirements.

• Utilize SQL queries to investigate, analyze, and import data sources for report creation.

• Collaborate closely with clients to grasp their business objectives, data necessities, and reporting specifications.

• Develop prototypes based on stakeholder input to validate report/dashboard designs.

• Create and enhance reports and dashboards using tools like Tableau and Power BI.

• Maintain data accuracy by conducting quality checks on source data.

• Understand and adhere to best practices in data visualization, automation, and user experience, while actively contributing to the internal culture and community of data visualization.

• Document and educate end-users on BI deliverables to ensure long-term viability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in developing reports and dashboards using BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or D3.

• More than 3 years of experience writing SQL queries of moderate complexity.

• Strong understanding of relational database structures.

• Demonstrated ability to present complex data in an intuitive and visually appealing way.

• Experience in assessing stakeholder requirements and creating user-friendly visualizations.

• Detail-oriented with a keen focus on data accuracy and quality assurance.

• Proficient in structuring and composing clear, concise documentation.

• Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., SQL, MySQL) as well as NoSQL databases.

• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and collaboration tools like Jira.

• Eager to learn and adopt new features in BI tools.
