β’ Churn & retention modeling: Create churn and survival models as well as lifecycle-state models that identify at-risk customers early and predict their future behavior.
β’ Intervention & reason understanding: Support retention initiatives that address identified risks β including save flows, skip/pause deflections, and lifecycle messaging β while classifying the reasons behind customer churn to tailor responses accordingly.
β’ Resurrection & win-back: Design propensity models and personalized experiences aimed at re-engaging churned customers.
β’ Personalization & Next-Best-Action: Determine the most appropriate action, offer, and message for each customer across various product surfaces, incorporating an uplift layer to assess incremental impact.

β’ 5-8+ years of experience in data science, applied machine learning, or statistics, with a track record of delivering production models.
β’ Expertise in retention and churn: experience with churn prediction, survival/time-to-event modeling, and lifecycle-state models within subscription or recurring-revenue frameworks.
β’ Causal & experimentation rigor: proficiency in uplift/incrementality measurement and A/B testing, with the ability to discern genuine impact from selection effects.
β’ End-to-end ML & MLOps: experience in building, validating, and deploying models in production environments (CI/CD, registries, containerization, orchestration, monitoring).
β’ Engineering & tooling: strong proficiency in Python (including pandas, scikit-learn, gradient boosting; deep learning is a plus), SQL, and maintaining code hygiene and reproducibility.
β’ Collaboration: excellent communication skills; capable of integrating with Product, CRM, and Marketing teams to transform models into actionable decisions.
