This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams comprising data engineers, software engineers, data scientists, and business subject matter experts to successfully deliver complex projects on schedule and within budget.
• Convert ambiguous and intricate business challenges into project charters that clearly outline technical risks and project scope.
• Assume responsibility for the entire data science workflow, which encompasses a well-defined, intricate project scope, exploratory data analysis, model development, deployment, and monitoring.
• Proactively seek best practices and enhance skill sets.
• Develop scalable frameworks to expedite deployment across multiple facilities.
• Effectively manage complex issues with minimal oversight, escalating only the most challenging problems to the appropriate personnel.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
• A minimum of 4 years of pertinent professional experience, OR 3 years of experience with a Master’s degree, OR 2 years of experience with a Ph.D. in a related discipline.
• Expertise in Python programming.
• Practical experience in developing computer vision models for tasks such as image classification, object detection, and segmentation.
• Familiarity with computer vision tools, both traditional and deep learning, including OpenCV, PyTorch, etc., along with experience in transfer learning and fine-tuning deep learning models.
• Experience in deploying ML models using a containerized deployment framework (Docker, Podman, etc.).
• Proven capability to develop proofs of concept and scale them into comprehensive production solutions.
• Ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to non-technical audiences.
• A Master's degree or PhD in data science, computer science, mathematics, engineering, or a related field (preferred).
• A solid grasp of Computer Vision fundamentals (preferred).
• Knowledge of MLOps practices for the productionization of vision models (preferred).
• Experience in scaling a production solution across multiple sites (preferred).
• Familiarity with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines (preferred).
• Experience with AWS (preferred).
