Senior Data Scientist, Report Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Evaluate current SAP BusinessObjects reports, including Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, and universes.

• Redesign and recreate reports using QlikView and/or Qlik Sense.

• Debug and resolve issues in legacy BusinessObjects reports and newly created Qlik applications.

• Re-engineer SQL, scripts, expressions, and outdated report logic in accordance with Qlik best practices.

• Validate transitioned reports against original BusinessObjects output to ensure accuracy and consistency.

• Document migration mappings, alterations in logic, and identified discrepancies.

• Work closely with business stakeholders to clarify requirements and verify report specifications.

• Enhance Qlik data models and load scripts to boost performance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining SAP BusinessObjects reports, including Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, and Universe Design.

• Strong practical experience with Qlik Sense and/or QlikView, encompassing data modeling, set analysis, scripting, and expressions.

• Solid SQL skills for querying, troubleshooting, and validating data.

• Capability to debug and re-engineer existing code and reports.

• Experience in data migration or platform transition projects.

• Understanding of ETL and data modeling principles.

• Strong attention to detail for data validation and quality assurance.

• Familiarity with NPrinting or other Qlik reporting extensions is a plus.

• Knowledge of Python or VBScript is advantageous.

• Understanding of relational databases, including Oracle and SQL Server, is beneficial.

• Comfortable working autonomously in ambiguous, legacy-code environments.

• Excellent communication skills for conveying technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.

• Detail-oriented and systematic approach to validation and testing.
