This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to assess and enhance product engagement and the complete customer journey, covering acquisition, conversion, retention, and churn.
• Develop and sustain statistical models and analyses pertaining to key product use cases such as A/B testing, cohort analysis, and optimization of conversion and retention.
• Design, evaluate, and interpret experiments (including A/B and multivariate tests) across various marketing channels and on-site experiences, ensuring statistical integrity and providing clear recommendations.
• Convert vague business inquiries into well-defined analytical projects, equipped with clear success metrics and timelines.
• Work in partnership with data engineering and analytics engineering teams to establish data requirements and guarantee the availability of reliable, well-structured datasets for marketing analytics.
• Effectively communicate insights and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders through presentations, dashboards, and written reports.
• Contribute to the establishment of shared analytics and modeling best practices within the data science team, focusing on code quality, validation, and documentation.
• Provide support to junior team members through informal mentorship, code reviews, and knowledge sharing when applicable.
• Remain updated on industry trends and methodologies in marketing analytics, experimentation, and applied data science, applying them effectively within Hone’s context.
• Over 5 years of professional experience in Data Science, Analytics, or a related quantitative field.
• A Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Advanced proficiency in Python for data analysis, statistics, and modeling purposes.
• Strong command of SQL and experience with production analytics datasets.
• Proven experience in applying data science to product or growth challenges, including funnel analysis, experimentation, attribution, or retention modeling.
• Comprehensive understanding of statistical techniques, experimentation design, and model evaluation.
• Experience in cross-functional, agile settings collaborating with marketing, product, or business stakeholders.
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development processes.
• Experience in cloud-based data environments (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capability to clarify complex analyses to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities, work autonomously, and deliver high-quality results in a dynamic environment.
