Senior Data Scientist – Gen AI, NLP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Collaborate on cutting-edge data science applications to address business challenges.

• Engage directly with client stakeholders to convert business issues into high-level analytical solution designs.

• Showcase analytic solutions to business audiences, emphasizing the robustness of the solutions and their potential to generate business value.

• Create comprehensive solutions based on a thorough understanding of business challenges to guarantee that analytics solutions are delivered efficiently, predictably, and sustainably.

• Design and implement machine learning and Generative AI solutions utilizing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).

• Develop LLM-powered applications using Azure OpenAI and manage workflows with LangGraph.

• Create agentic AI workflows for automation, insight generation, and decision support.

• Implement Document Intelligence solutions to extract insights from unstructured data.

• Engage in discussions with team members to identify and apply relevant analytical techniques, producing actionable business insights.

• Responsible for delivering presentations to senior management, communicating results to business teams, and formulating plans to operationalize analytical solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of experience as a GenAI Data Scientist.

• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.

• Experience with MLflow and model lifecycle management.

• Skilled in Python from a functional programming perspective, capable of managing dependencies and virtual environments, along with version control in Git.

• Generative AI Knowledge: Profound understanding of advanced AI concepts, including LLMs, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and other modern generative AI applications.

• Familiar with sequential algorithms (e.g., LSTM, RNN, transformer, etc.).

• Experience with Bedrock, JumpStart, and HuggingFace.

• Knowledge of evaluating the ethical implications of AI and mitigating them (e.g., red-teaming).

• Expertise in supervised and unsupervised learning, with experience in deep learning and transfer learning.

• Proficient in generative algorithms (e.g., GAN, VAE, etc.) and pre-trained models (e.g., LLaMa, SAM, etc.).

• Experience in developing models from conception to deployment, with 5-10 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in Data Science.

• Proven experience in building end-to-end ML pipelines for production.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and model governance.

• Capability to design scalable and reliable AI systems.

• Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics or equivalent work experience.
