This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of analytical frameworks that track the effectiveness of mobile marketing within a privacy-conscious environment, integrating platform-reported data, attribution data, MMP data, and internal metrics to facilitate informed decision-making amidst measurement uncertainties.
• Lead the comprehensive design and upkeep of marketing analytics dashboards in Sigma/Tableau, acting as a reliable source of truth for performance, user quality, payback, and profitability insights.
• Perform detailed analyses on campaign, ad set, ad, and creative performance metrics (IPM, CPM, CPI, CAC, ROAS), offering data-driven recommendations and collaborating with marketing to identify creative fatigue and successful assets.
• Examine mobile user cohorts to gain insights into retention, monetization, payback, and LTV behaviors, pinpointing efficiency trends across leagues, teams, and acquisition sources to inform budget distribution.
• Collaborate with marketing and finance to analyze channel incrementality, profitability, and spending efficiency, developing financial scenario models to guide decisions on scaling, reducing, or reallocating budgets.
• Design, analyze, and interpret experiments to assess true channel incrementality and marketing uplift, including geo-lift, PSA tests, and audience holdouts, translating findings into actionable recommendations.
• Provide analytical support for retargeting and audience strategy, developing and maintaining user lists while enhancing segmentation to ensure initiatives generate incremental value rather than merely capturing organic demand.
• Investigate how marketplace conditions, event demand, league composition, pricing, and seasonal factors affect acquisition efficiency, aiding in the differentiation of marketing execution changes from broader market trends.
• Work alongside leadership to simplify complex analyses into clear recommendations regarding budget allocation, channel strategy, and growth investments, effectively communicating trade-offs and risks to facilitate swift decision-making.
• Keep abreast of developments in the mobile privacy and attribution landscape (Apple ATT, MMP capabilities) to ensure data science remains a competitive advantage in how Gametime measures and expands mobile growth.
• Over 7 years of experience in marketing analytics, growth data science, mobile analytics, or a related domain; a Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
• Previous experience in a mobile-first organization, with a thorough understanding of mobile attribution, Apple ATT, MMPs, and privacy-aware measurement approaches.
• Practical experience with Meta, TikTok, Reddit, or comparable paid social platforms, analyzing performance at campaign, creative, and cohort levels.
• Proficient in evaluating acquisition and retargeting performance through metrics such as LTV, CAC, ROAS, payback periods, and profitability models.
• Background in designing and interpreting marketing experiments or causal measurement studies, including geo-lift tests and audience holdouts.
• Experience in building, managing, or analyzing user lists for paid marketing activation, with a solid understanding of segmentation, suppression logic, and saturation concerns.
• Strong statistical foundation, with experience in experimentation, incrementality measurement, cohort analysis, and causal inference methodologies.
• Proven ability to analyze creative performance and detect fatigue to enhance testing frameworks.
• Proficient in Python or R and SQL, with hands-on experience utilizing BI tools (Tableau, Sigma) and Mobile Measurement Partners (Adjust, AppsFlyer, etc.).
• Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying technical insights and attribution complexities in a manner that supports executive decision-making.
• Preferred: experience with Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) or incrementality testing, and background in ticketing, live events, marketplaces, or consumer mobile applications.
• Preferred: experience working with highly seasonal businesses, event-driven demand, or fluctuating supply and pricing conditions.
