Senior Data Scientist – GCP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Identify areas where Data Science can generate significant business value and design, implement, and launch Machine Learning solutions.

• Create forecasting and optimization tools to facilitate intricate business and operational choices.

• Utilize rigorous experimentation and causal inference methodologies to confirm hypotheses and assess business impact.

• Investigate and develop solutions utilizing Large Language Models and Generative AI when relevant.

• Work in tandem with Data Engineers and ML Engineers to deliver production-ready solutions adhering to MLOps best practices.

• Continuously track, test, and refine models to enhance performance and business results.

• Convert complex analytical insights into straightforward, actionable recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Contribute to the Data Science practice by sharing knowledge, conducting technical reviews, ensuring reproducibility, and following engineering best practices.

• Collaborate within multidisciplinary product teams alongside Product, Engineering, and business stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or a related quantitative discipline.

• Over 3 years of experience in developing Machine Learning or advanced analytics solutions in operational settings.

• Proficient programming skills in Python and SQL.

• Practical experience in building and deploying production-ready Machine Learning models.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Strong analytical and structured problem-solving capabilities.

• Capacity to convey complex technical ideas effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• A robust sense of ownership, curiosity, and a commitment to continuous learning.

• Ability to work collaboratively with Data Engineers, ML Engineers, Product Managers, and business stakeholders.

• Experience in Optimization or Operations Research is a plus.

• Strong knowledge of Time Series Forecasting is advantageous.

• Experience in Causal Inference and Experimentation is beneficial.

• Familiarity with Large Language Models and Generative AI is a plus.

• Knowledge of MLOps and CI/CD practices is favorable.

• Experience with large-scale digital products is a plus.

• Previous experience in sectors dealing with high-volume, complex operational or transactional data is desirable.
