Senior Data Scientist – Forecasting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and implement **time-series forecasting models** such as ARIMA, SARIMA, and ETS.

• Create **machine-learning-driven forecasting models** utilizing GBM, Random Forest, XGBoost, and LightGBM.

• Develop **hierarchical and multi-level forecasting** solutions across various products, regions, and channels.

• Conduct extensive data extraction, transformation, and analysis using **SQL**.

• Collaborate with supply chain, merchandising, planning, and business teams to grasp forecasting needs.

• Convert business challenges into analytical solutions.

• Present insights and recommendations from models to senior client stakeholders.

• Facilitate workshops and discussions on forecasting strategies with clients.

• Implement and operationalize models within cloud environments.

• Work alongside business stakeholders to convert demand planning requirements into scalable analytics solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• **10+ years** of experience in applied data science or advanced analytics.

• **5+ years** of practical experience in **demand planning, demand forecasting, or sales forecasting**.

• Strong domain expertise in **CPG, FMCG, retail, or similar industries**.

• Advanced skills in **Python** (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, statsmodels).

• Proficient in **SQL** for processing large-scale data.

• Demonstrated experience in deploying models within **cloud environments** (preferably Azure).
