This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +30 more states.
• Connect complex datasets with strategic initiatives.
• Aggregate information from various external sources to gain visibility and insights into search recall deficiencies and emerging topic trends.
• Guide Wikimedia’s strategy to ensure users can consistently locate the content they require.
• Consolidate fragmented data to form a cohesive understanding of how users discover and engage with content.
• Convert analytics and intricate trends into actionable narratives.
• Create automated systems to identify under-indexed content.
• Set metrics and frameworks for content usage within Large Language Models.
• Partner with product leaders to establish objectives and measure success.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of new initiatives through experiment design and analysis.
• Analyze website performance data to guide UX/UI improvements.
• Proficient in Python and Jupyter for data analysis, statistical modeling, simulation, visualization, and reporting.
• Skilled in SQL and adept at working with large-scale data using tools such as Hive, Presto, Druid, and Spark.
• Experience in constructing dashboards and reports utilizing tools like Jupyter, Quarto, and Superset.
• A deep, intuitive grasp of website operations (including structure, user journeys, and tracking mechanisms), along with hands-on expertise in web search SEO/GEO.
• A Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree plus 3 years of relevant experience; or equivalent professional experience.
