Senior Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Create innovative, cutting-edge AI and machine learning models to enhance risk strategies;

• Provide data-driven, risk-focused business recommendations to positively influence KPIs across Trustly's payment portfolio;

• Perform analysis to assess model performance, compare results across various models, and guide model strategy and selection decisions;

• Work alongside ML Engineers to implement AI/ML models and strategies within Trustly's decision engine;

• Investigate raw source data, conduct feature research, and engineering to bolster decision-making capabilities;

• Assist in the development and upkeep of risk modeling infrastructure, closely collaborating with ML Engineers and MLOps;

• Create data- and business-oriented risk prevention rules and strategies;

• Track risk and decision trends and performance, offering continuous optimization adjustments as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, data science, or a related field;

• Proven experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, and AI;

• Background in developing statistical, machine learning, or AI models and conducting experiments;

• Risk management experience in financial services, fintech, or a related sector;

• Proficient in Python and SQL, with additional skills in Spark and JavaScript being advantageous;

• Familiarity with feature engineering and the complete model development lifecycle;

• Excellent English communication abilities to engage with English-speaking business stakeholders;
