Senior Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Propel innovative and creative data science, machine learning, and AI applications to achieve impactful results.

• Stay updated with trends in the industry, market, and company, partnering with business leaders to advocate for the adoption of new data and analytical approaches, techniques, and capabilities.

• Extract and transform data for exploratory analysis, feature engineering, modeling, and visualization purposes.

• Design, construct, and refine models effectively.

• Develop, oversee, and sustain recommendation systems.

• Write efficient code, deploy it on cloud platforms, and perform A/B testing on models and algorithms.

• Conduct data validation and quality checks prior to modeling.

• Monitor models and detect drift following deployment.

• Present and demonstrate prototypes and concepts to clients/customers and leadership.

• Cultivate deep expertise in Switchfly’s data as well as external data sources.

• Identify gaps in data and analytical tools by collaborating with other teams and business partners, and suggest corrective measures.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a data scientist, including building, evaluating, deploying, and monitoring machine learning models (including deep learning) is essential.

• A relevant technical degree, preferably advanced, in fields such as Computer Science, Machine Learning, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or Operations Research.

• Advanced proficiency in Python and experience with open-source frameworks such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras, and Pytorch.

• Strong SQL and ETL experience is required.
