Senior Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Analyze and explore current detection logic developed from various interconnected signals and rule-based expressions.

• Comprehend and chart complex data flows, processing pipelines, and dependencies throughout enterprise systems.

• Identify redundancies, inefficiencies, and unnecessary complexities present in existing detection frameworks.

• Suggest methods for simplification and optimization while maintaining detection quality and operational efficiency.

• Perform exploratory analysis on extensive and intricate datasets to validate hypotheses and aid in decision-making.

• Evaluate downstream effects and operational risks associated with proposed modifications prior to implementation.

• Convert analytical insights into clear recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Work collaboratively with engineers, data scientists, and security researchers to gather context and independently resolve obstacles.

• Function effectively in a dynamic environment with changing priorities and tight delivery timelines.

• Play a role in enhancing analytical methodologies and techniques within the newly established team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Data Science, Analytics Engineering, Data Analytics, or similar analytical positions.

• Strong expertise in Python and SQL.

• Experience in handling large-scale and complex datasets.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to independently structure ambiguous challenges.

• Demonstrated experience in conducting investigations from hypothesis creation to data-supported conclusions.

• A strong engineering mindset with the ability to comprehend and analyze complex logic and codebases.

• Capacity to assess system behavior and understand the downstream consequences of analytical decisions.

• Experience in collaborating across various functions with engineering and research teams.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Upper-Intermediate or higher proficiency in English.

• Familiarity with JavaScript.

• Experience with Snowflake.

• Background in cybersecurity, fraud detection, or risk analytics sectors.

• Experience with rule-based systems or detection pipelines.

• Exposure to enterprise-scale analytics platforms.

• Knowledge of data pipeline architecture and signal processing systems.
