📋 Description

• Analyze and examine current detection logic that is based on multiple interconnected signals and rule-based expressions.

• Comprehend and outline intricate data flows, processing pipelines, and dependencies throughout enterprise systems.

• Identify redundancies, inefficiencies, and superfluous complexities within the existing detection frameworks.

• Suggest simplification and optimization strategies while maintaining detection quality and operational efficiency.

• Perform exploratory analysis on large and complex datasets to verify hypotheses and assist in decision-making.

• Evaluate downstream effects and operational risks of proposed changes prior to implementation.

• Convert analytical insights into clear recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Work alongside engineers, data scientists, and security researchers to gather context and independently resolve obstacles.

• Function effectively in a dynamic environment with changing priorities and tight delivery timelines.

• Contribute to enhancing analytical methodologies and strategies within the emerging team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in Data Science, Analytics Engineering, Data Analytics, or similar analytical positions.

• Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL.

• Experience handling large-scale and complex datasets.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to independently structure unclear problems.

• Demonstrated experience driving investigations from hypothesis formulation to data-supported conclusions.

• Strong engineering mindset with the ability to comprehend complex logic and codebases.

• Skill in evaluating system behavior and understanding the downstream effects of analytical choices.

• Experience collaborating across functions with engineering and research teams.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Upper-Intermediate or higher proficiency in English.

• Familiarity with JavaScript.

• Experience with Snowflake is advantageous.

• Background in cybersecurity, fraud detection, or risk analytics is a plus.

• Experience with rule-based systems or detection pipelines is a plus.

• Exposure to enterprise-scale analytics platforms is beneficial.

• Understanding of data pipeline architecture and signal processing systems is an asset.
