Senior Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Examine and assess current detection logic developed from interconnected signals and rule-based expressions

• Create mappings of intricate data flows, processing pipelines, and dependencies throughout enterprise systems

• Detect redundancies, inefficiencies, and excessive complexity within detection frameworks

• Suggest simplification and optimization strategies while maintaining detection quality and operational efficiency

• Perform exploratory analysis on extensive and complex datasets

• Evaluate downstream consequences and operational risks prior to implementation

• Convert analytical insights into actionable recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences

• Work in partnership with engineers, data scientists, and security researchers

• Function effectively in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities and tight delivery timelines

• Enhance analytical methodologies within the emerging team

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in Data Science, Analytics Engineering, Data Analytics, or similar analytical positions

• Advanced skills in Python and SQL

• Proven experience managing large-scale and complex datasets

• Strong analytical capabilities and problem-solving aptitude

• Demonstrated experience guiding investigations from hypothesis development to data-driven conclusions

• Solid engineering mindset with the ability to comprehend complex logic and codebases

• Capability to assess system behavior and the downstream effects of analytical choices

• Experience in cross-functional collaboration with engineering and research teams

• Ability to operate independently with minimal oversight

• Upper-Intermediate or higher proficiency in English

• Familiarity with JavaScript

• Experience with Snowflake

• Background in cybersecurity, fraud detection, or risk analytics sectors

• Experience with rule-based systems or detection pipelines

• Exposure to enterprise-level analytics platforms

• Understanding of data pipeline architecture and signal processing systems
