Senior Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop and execute data validation and model evaluation workflows within a cloud environment (AWS).

• Incorporate data and assessment metrics into a streamlined, auditable process.

• Structure the pipeline for enhanced reuse, testing, and maintenance.

• Collaborate with teams in Data Science, Data Engineering, and Product Development.

• Adhere to best practices regarding version control, logging, monitoring, and automated testing.

• Suggest ongoing enhancements to data architecture and validation methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

• Proven experience in data management and statistical modeling (Python, SQL, PySpark).

• Familiarity with Git and version control systems.

• Extensive experience in data science.

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to tackle complex data-related challenges.

• Effective communication skills and the capability to work collaboratively within a team.

• Preferred: Experience with retail systems, particularly in inventory, reservation/locking, availability processes, and e-commerce integration.

• Preferred: Knowledge of Oracle Retail, RMS, or legacy backend systems.

• Preferred: Experience managing high-volume data in MongoDB.

• Preferred: Proficiency with AWS, OpenShift, Docker, or Kubernetes.

• Preferred: Understanding of event-driven architecture.

• Preferred: Experience with batch processes, workers, queues, and message reprocessing.

• Preferred: Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Datadog, Dynatrace, CloudWatch, or similar.

• Preferred: Experience working with Agile methodologies.

• Preferred: Knowledge of AWS services (Glue, S3, SageMaker, Lambda, etc.).

• Preferred: Experience with optimization challenges.
