Senior Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and execute machine learning models aimed at predicting student dropout rates, facilitating timely interventions.

• Establish fraud prevention mechanisms and anomaly detection for financial transactions related to School Funds (Caixas Escolares), utilizing data directly from bank and internal APIs.

• Manage the entire process from data extraction and preprocessing within the Data Lake to deploying models in a production environment.

• Convert complex data insights into user-friendly dashboards and reports for public-sector managers who may lack technical expertise.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of developed solutions while providing support for monitoring, error management, and continuous maintenance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completed higher education (technologist, bachelor's, and/or postgraduate degrees) in Information Technology.

• Demonstrated experience in Data Science initiatives, ideally with a focus on fraud detection, anomaly detection, or financial risk assessment.

• Advanced skills in Python (Pandas, scikit-learn, XGBoost/LightGBM) and proficiency in SQL.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric and Azure Machine Learning (Notebooks, Synapse, MLflow).

• Experience in consuming REST APIs and integrating data from diverse sources.

• Capability to identify business challenges (in education/public administration) and suggest optimal technical solutions.
