Senior Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Identify significant business and product opportunities that are currently overlooked, and create the insights, models, and systems required to generate measurable impact.

• Develop advanced machine learning, optimization, and analytics solutions that enhance marketplace efficiency on a large scale.

• Design and conduct experiments and observational studies that yield actionable insights for business and product development.

• Collaborate across functions to establish key metrics, enhance logging and instrumentation, and create data visualizations and diagnostic tools that facilitate informed decision-making.

• Perform ad hoc analyses and explore performance trends, operational challenges, and metrics-based opportunities with minimal supervision.

• Convert complex analyses into straightforward recommendations and persuasive narratives that influence the strategic direction of the organization.

• Assist in guiding teams towards data-driven product development and nurture a culture of thoughtful experimentation and rigorous decision-making.

⛳️ Requirements

• Ph.D. or M.S. in a quantitative discipline with over 3 years of experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with more than 7 years of experience in Data Science, Analytics, or a related field.

• Solid foundation in experimental design and analysis, with the capability to translate findings into impactful business or product decisions.

• Advanced skills in SQL and experience utilizing business intelligence tools to reveal insights and guide strategic direction.

• Proficiency in Python, R, or another scripting language for data analysis, modeling, and problem-solving.

• Capacity to distill complex data into clear and compelling narratives that drive decision-making.

• Demonstrated success in cross-functional collaboration and effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
