Senior Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Identify significant business and product opportunities that remain unaddressed, while developing the insights, models, and systems necessary to drive measurable impact.

• Create advanced machine learning, optimization, and analytics solutions that enhance marketplace efficiency at scale.

• Design and implement experiments and observational studies that yield actionable business and product insights.

• Collaborate across functions to establish key metrics, enhance logging and instrumentation, and create data visualizations and diagnostic tools that facilitate smarter decision-making.

• Conduct ad hoc analyses and explore performance trends, operational challenges, and metrics-driven opportunities with minimal supervision.

• Convert complex analyses into clear recommendations and persuasive narratives that shape strategic direction throughout the organization.

• Assist in orienting teams around data-driven product development and promote a culture of thoughtful experimentation and rigorous decision-making.

⛳️ Requirements

• Ph.D. or M.S. in a quantitative field with over 3 years of experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with more than 7 years of experience in Data Science, Analytics, or a related field.

• Strong understanding of experimental design and analysis, with the ability to translate findings into impactful business or product decisions.

• Advanced skills in SQL and experience utilizing business intelligence tools to reveal insights and inform strategy.

• Proficiency in Python, R, or another scripting language for data analysis, modeling, and problem-solving.

• Capacity to distill complex data into clear, persuasive narratives that drive decision-making.

• Demonstrated success in cross-functional collaboration and effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
