Senior Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Transform intricate business challenges into effective, scalable data products and machine learning models.

• Manage projects from initial exploratory analysis to full production deployment.

• Enhance operations, optimize marketing strategies, and improve customer experiences.

• Develop complex SQL queries and engineer features.

• Rapidly deploy baseline models and refine them towards more sophisticated solutions.

• Oversee the entire model lifecycle, including data extraction, feature engineering, deployment, A/B testing, and performance monitoring.

• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Finance, and other key stakeholders to establish technical requirements and transform model outputs into practical business insights.

• Produce clean, modular, production-ready code.

• Engage in peer code reviews and contribute to the establishment of technical best practices.

• Decompose complex project requirements into actionable milestones.

• Offer technical mentorship to junior data scientists and analysts.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Data Science or Machine Learning Engineering.

• Proven track record of delivering production-ready models that generate measurable business impact.

• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.

• In-depth knowledge of pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn.

• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, XGBoost, or LightGBM.

• Capability to build production-ready solutions.

• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or GCP.

• Knowledge of CI/CD processes, Git, and MLOps principles.

• Ability to correlate technical metrics with business results and choose the right algorithms.

• Skill in communicating technical concepts, model limitations, and analytical insights to non-technical audiences.

• BS, MS, or equivalent experience in a quantitative discipline such as Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or Applied Mathematics.

• Preferred experience in developing initial machine learning models and automated production pipelines.

• Preferred experience in 1–2 advanced business machine learning domains, such as propensity modeling, forecasting, optimization, or causal inference.

• Must have legal authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions for any employer.

• Must not require immigration sponsorship from Hims & Hers to work in the U.S.
