Senior Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

• At Greenbox Capital, we assist small businesses in flourishing by offering quick and accessible funding solutions.

• Create, develop, and implement predictive models that significantly influence credit, risk, and product performance.

• Utilize causal inference and experimentation to enhance both model and business results.

• Collaborate with product, risk, and leadership teams to convert business requirements into data-driven strategies.

• Present insights effectively to shape strategic decision-making.

• Aid in the production deployment and ongoing enhancement of models.

• Track performance metrics and continually refine model accuracy and dependability.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline is required; an advanced degree (MS, PhD, or MBA) is preferred.

• Over 8 years of experience in data science, predictive modeling, and financial analytics.

• Demonstrated success in developing and deploying machine learning models within the FinTech or financial services sectors.

• Experience in merchant cash advances, revenue-based financing, or alternative small business lending is highly preferred.

• Background in startup or high-growth environments, with experience in scaling systems.

• Advanced skills in Python for model creation and system architecture.

• Strong expertise in SQL and large-scale data analysis.

• Profound knowledge in statistical modeling, machine learning, and feature engineering.

• Experience in designing and analyzing A/B tests, as well as applying causal inference techniques.

• Familiarity with model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management.

• Knowledge of Databricks, MLflow, and contemporary MLOps practices.
