This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Enhance Gradient AI’s primary AI models and facilitate their market introduction.

• Collaborate with partners in data science, product development, and engineering.

• Take ownership of comprehensive models from start to finish.

• Utilize deep learning, large language models, and conventional data science methods to develop hybrid models.

• Ideate, prototype, validate, deploy, and quickly realize the market potential of projects.

• Engage with big data, federated learning, unstructured data, timeseries and sequence modeling, employing techniques from GLMs to XGBoost and Transformers.

• Convey data insights to customers, stakeholders, and prospects to enhance business outcomes.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Biostatistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline with 3–5 years of professional experience in building predictive models, OR a Master’s or Ph.D. with 1–2 years of such experience.

• Extensive practical experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow and contemporary AI architectures, including Transformers, Neural Networks, and LLMs.

• Advanced expertise in Python and its data science ecosystem, covering tools such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, and LightGBM.

• Strong skills in technical communication and collaboration within agile teams and data science leadership.

• Knowledge of SQL, relational databases, and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or Databricks.

• MLOps experience in transitioning models from notebooks to production, covering experiment tracking, packaging, Docker containerization, model serving and APIs, CI/CD, and pipeline orchestration.

• Familiarity with actuarial methods and working alongside actuaries is advantageous.

• Understanding of healthcare and medical data.

• Knowledge of underwriting and claims, or experience in predicting long-tailed and/or rare events.
