Senior Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design, development, validation, and implementation of machine learning and AI solutions.

• Engage in applied research and create analytical methods to address intricate mission challenges.

• Plan and carry out studies utilizing large-scale structured and unstructured datasets.

• Create statistical models, predictive analytics solutions, and sophisticated analytical methodologies.

• Provide guidance to program leadership on technical strategies, emerging technologies, and analytical best practices.

• Present analytical results through reports, visualizations, dashboards, and executive briefings.

• Direct model validation, quality assurance, and technical review processes.

• Mentor data scientists and analysts while offering technical leadership across project teams.

• Work with stakeholders to pinpoint mission gaps and develop data-driven solutions.

• Assist in strategic planning and capability development efforts.

• Participate in Agile development activities and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master's Degree or Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative field.

• A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in applied research, big data analytics, statistics, data science, computer science, operations research, or related quantitative fields.

• At least seven (7) years of hands-on machine learning experience.

• Proven experience in developing and deploying machine learning models in production settings.

• Experience in leading technical teams and advanced analytics projects.

• Familiarity with large-scale datasets and challenging analytical issues.

• Experience in presenting technical findings to executive and stakeholder audiences.

• Proficiency in machine learning, artificial intelligence, statistical modeling, and data mining.

• Strong grasp of model validation and analytical evaluation methods.

• Capability to convey complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
