Senior Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Design and manage machine learning-driven features that significantly enhance our customer application and marketplace experience.

• Address customer-centric challenges such as search and ranking, recommendations, segmentation, lifecycle modeling including activation, churn, and reactivation, lead scoring, and personalization.

• Handle the complete process, from transforming vague product concepts into well-defined problems, through modeling and experimentation, to deploying and overseeing production systems.

• Contribute to data infrastructure, collaborating closely with engineers on real-time systems, ensuring that models are robust, scalable, and measurable against business KPIs including conversion, retention, and revenue.

• Work collaboratively across teams including Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Pricing, serving as both a technical authority and a structured problem-solver who can effectively convey trade-offs and impact.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in delivering machine learning solutions end to end in a production setting, preferably within a marketplace or customer-focused product environment.

• Extensive experience with behavioral and customer data, covering segmentation, lifecycle modeling, scoring, search, or recommendation systems.

• Proficient in Python and SQL, with the capability to work across modeling and data preparation tasks.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably GCP, with AWS also considered, alongside knowledge of how data pipelines are constructed and maintained.

• Proven ability to clearly define problems, engage stakeholders, and communicate impact in commercial settings.

• Experience in applying NLP and LLMs to real-world product scenarios. Knowledge of Generative AI is advantageous but not the primary focus of the role.

• Experience with real-time or near real-time systems.

• Exposure to pricing or marketing optimization challenges.
