Senior Data Scientist – AI Research

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with Lyra’s Data, Product, Engineering, and Clinical teams on AI/ML projects.

• Enhance the Lyra platform to meet the needs of providers and clients.

• Develop expertise in various data sources and partner with data engineers to construct pipelines that apply clinical logic to raw data.

• Extract actionable insights and create predictive and generative models.

• Establish rigorous evaluation frameworks to facilitate product iterations.

• Fulfill time-sensitive ad hoc data requests for both internal and external stakeholders.

• Create a seamless experience for mental health patients, providers, and employers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in data analysis within an industry context.

• Preferably experienced in product analytics within the AI/ML domain.

• Proven track record of partnering with engineering and product teams.

• Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders across technical, business, and ideally clinical domains.

• Familiarity with statistical applications and methods, including experimentation, probabilities, and regression analysis.

• Experience in applying hypothesis testing in either an industry or research environment.

• Skilled in developing comprehensive analyses using irregular data from diverse sources.

• Strong proficiency in SQL, including the ability to execute complex queries across multiple schemas and tables.

• Graduate-level coursework in Statistics with a preference for an MS in a quantitative field.

• An interest in public health is an advantage.

• Experience in AI/ML research and development, including prompt engineering and RAG.

• Proficient in Python for data cleaning and analysis, parsing JSON structured data, calling APIs, creating user-defined functions, and automation.

• Remote candidates must reside within the United States.
